Effect of surface quality of extruded profiles on sealing quality


At present, there is no direct experiment to prove the relationship between extrusion, aging process and sealing degree, but the extrusion process can affect the formation, structure and properties of the oxide film, and thus affect the quality of the sealing.

It has been proved that the surface quality of the oxidized and colored product depends on the oxidation process itself, and more importantly, on the surface condition of the product during extrusion, especially in the absence of polishing.

Smooth and bright surface of the product is easy to obtain a satisfactory oxide film, uniform film thickness, good continuity, uniform pore distribution, regular pore shape, such an oxide film not only has good physical properties, but also has high chemical activity. It laid a good foundation for the smooth and reliable sealing.

The surface of a bad product not only affects the appearance, but also causes defects in the oxide film, uneven coloration, poor sealing, and even absolute waste that cannot be reworked. In order to ensure the smooth sealing of the oxide film at a low temperature, a high-quality building aluminum material meeting the requirements of GB/T5237-93 is produced, and attention should be paid in the production:

(l) The surface quality of the product after extrusion is the basis for the production of high-quality oxide film. The oxidized material should carefully check the surface of the material to be oxidized. If there is any problem, it should be picked out in time.

(2) Temperature and current must be controlled during oxidation production, especially if the temperature is not higher than 24 °C. Washing should be sufficient to prevent impurities from being trapped in the sealing groove.

(3) There should be a special person to manage the sealing groove, control the nickel ion concentration, fluoride ion concentration, state value, and bath temperature within the specified range, and supervise the preparation and adjustment of the bath.

(4) The sealing degree should be tested after the product is placed for 12 hours, so that the data is accurate.
